Canopy feedback/pruning advice wanted.

Hey all,

Man it's been a while since I last posted. I'm prepping for a bigger journal update, but for now I am needing some canopy feedback. I got these 4 ladies ready and flipped them 2 days ago.

I've never worked with such an even full canopy before. Am I looking good, or are there too many tops too close together, should I thin out actual smaller branches? Wait a bit and see which branches are being favored/growing best?

I've included a full 4x4 shot, and a top down pic of each plant, and a side view to show under canopy.

Thoughts and feelings?

Congratulations you've done a fine job.
How many tops total?
Why do I get the feeling if I actually count them I won't be able to ever post here again without ridicule? Haha thanks! I'll weigh it when I'm done. 'bout a pound, 'bout a pound.

(That said, the thought has been implanted and now I'm curious...dammit).

How close you gonna run it in flower?

I’d defoliate. I always do before I flower. Take all the big fan leaves off. They’ll come back in two weeks.
I'm considering another round by end of week. I cleaned up the under-canopy, and removed all the larger fan leaves a few days back. I don't usually pull them all, just a handful from the canopy, and anything down underneath.

I figure the plant will tell me. I've had to raise it up a bit already when I saw it was stressing the plant after i cranked it to full to get out a bit more heat (room has been cold).

Right now I have it about 4 feet, but plan to incrementally lower it. Goal is to try hit the manufacturer min distance of 24" and see if I can push it lower from there ....carefully.....

I`d stick to the 24 first grow

I wouldn't touch them as far as defoliating or pruning for at least a couple weeks. See how they fill out during the stretch first.
I think I have the space to let them go for a while so I'll probably post back for more advice before I do anything. I made mistakes last time which I do not want to repeat.

Day 21, Would you run with this, thin it out?

The stretch is over and they are now stacking buds. I don't want to do anything too drastic if it all, but worry there might still be too many tops crammed in some areas.

4x4 diy "tent"
4 plants in 7gal pots
500 watt BudgetLED

Thoughts?

They look healthy!

But Woah, where did all your bottom growth go???
You took way too many growth sites off the bottom imo. Going to suffer in yeild.
You have more than enough room for what you got.

It looks like you lollipopped 2/3 of the plant when you should only ever do 1/3
