Cannabutter

I'm using the crockpot method on making cannabutter and all I wanted to know is that if the butter is bubbling a little bit, does that mean it's boiling? I'm just asking because I have it set on the lowest temp and I know boiling reduces the thc content. I stir it occasionally to stop it from heating up too much.

If butter was boiling, it would be burnt and smell as such. Not that burnt butter is bad for culinary use...

On the lowest temp it shouldn't be boiling, butter that is. I make butter1-2 times a month and here's what I do. Throw all material in a crackpot with sufficient butter, then fill crackpot to top with water. Stir ONLY like 3-5 times during cooking. Crackpot works best when top is on and not like taking off and checking/stirring. Let cook for 24hrs on low
