Cannabis photoperiod and light dep in southern British Columbia

Hi there I’m new to the forum and I’m hoping to get some advise on flowering outdoor plants in southern BC. I’ve been light depping for a month now pulling tarps at 5-6pm and taking them off at 10 pm to trigger flower a month early. I have some nice buds coming now and wonder if I can stop pulling these damn tarps yet lol. Last year I saw bud clusters around the 25th of august so I assume the light cycle is enough to trigger flower around August 15th. Any words of wisdom for a first year light depper ?? Thanks

I've never thrown shade before, but I would assume gradually moving closer to sunset over a week or two would ease any jitters the girls could get from an abrupt change. What is your length of day?

I assume your length of day reduces pretty quickly. It will be down to 12 hours in a little over a month. But for now I would keep using the tarps for a little longer. Or gradually put them on later each day. Anything 13 1/2 hours or less is safe.

But like I said, I've never actually used depo. Someone in your neck of the woods will come along and answer the question.

Hey there Bud Welcome to RIU! I myself am running the same damn light deprivation schedule, lol. I started my LD the first week of July. With 2 BF Runtz muffin and 4 AKBB Clusterfuck strain. I have been pondering the same question!?. Their in by 6 p.m. and pulled out at 11 p.m. till sunrise about 5:30 ish here now in western wa. It is a pain in the ass, but the quality buds in the finish make it worth while. I was going to try leaving one or 2 out all day/night on September 1st. And keep my 6 pm manual dark out for the rest.
To see if they react negatively. But that's 2 weeks from today. Here's my light depped girls.
