Cannabis in the capital.....

Well it seems that in August, the first of hopefully many dispensaries will be opening it's doors to the patients in DC . The maximum amount of medical cannabis that any qualifying patient may possess at any moment is 2 ounces of dried cannabis, though this limit is subject to revision by the Mayor. Qualifying D.C. patients will be able to obtain medical cannabis , but will not be permitted under the law to grow their own medicine.
A provision enacted as part of the 2011 D.C. budget calls for the retail sales of medical cannabis to be subject to the District’s six percent sales tax rate. Low-income will be allowed to purchase medical cannabis at a greatly reduced cost under the plan. Under the law, D.C. Health Department officials will oversee the creation of as many as eight facilities to dispense medical cannabis to authorized patients. Medical dispensaries would be limited to growing no more than 95 plants on site at any one time.

They can help the poor more by allowing them to grow their own weed. Now you create a system where the cost to others will be inflated.

Make sure you put one in the White House. It'll keep the Secret Service guys close to home when they buy for the prez and they won't get busted by the local dealers.
