Was just wondering but I heard this on another thread....

if you feed Kelp extract + Mag/Cal soloution around 4-5 weeks of flowering it will cause the Calyxes to "stack" (Grow one inside another) Doubling the density of the Buds.
then you feed Kelp + 0/High/High Ferts (i use 0/10/10) it will cause the Verticle growth to STOP and the buds just get FAT as a mother fucker....

Is this true? Should I find an organic mag/cal source and feed that plus kelp during weeks 4-5 flowering, then switch over to kelp plus alaska morbloom 0-10-10?

I dont think kelp and calmag are going to double the density of your buds.
If you treat one plant with kelp+calmag, and one plant with regular nutes, common sense and a bit of experience should tell you that no, you're not going to get twice the yield on the treated plant (as 2x density would imply.)

As far as stopping vertical growth, feeding a 0/high/high PK booster is simply taking away nitrogen. Nitrogen contributes to growth, so cutting it out will definitely hinder vertical growth a bit, but it's not going to stop it entirely. And kelp, while it doesnt have much of a NPK rating on the bottle, will be broken down into nitrogen, amongst other things.

The methods you described, as far as cutting out nitrogen and feeding PK boosters (0/high/high) during flowering, are quality, and they should give you good results. But the effects arent going to be as exaggerated as you're describing.

All that being said, kelp is good shit. If you haven't already, try foliar feeding with it in veg. Keeps plants healthy
