Cannabis Caregivers

I’m still plugging away at my endeavors. Which states that have MMJ only allow “caregivers “ to grow for selected “patients “? Is there a license, fee and/or application to fill out? My state is about to go legal but the bill is a bit unclear when it comes to caregivers.

In Michigan a caregiver is also a registered patient. There is a small fee (it has changed not sure presently) and they are allowed to grow up to 5 patients 12 plants. The patient gives up their right to have their own plants for the service.

Most I have seen are really just fringe black market Growers using the system to sell pot.

I have to disagree here you can be a patient and a caregiver and have 72 plants in michigan. You give up no plant rights to be a caregiver.

Not sure what is going to happen here, I’m looking at many options as you guys can see my posts. I’ve asked questions that are all over the board. I’m not a leach.... but I am looking for a way to turn a legal profit and help my family when needed. Some here know my story and how I got here. Years ago I realized that MY cannabis use was not recreational but medical..... attitude adjustments. I think there will be many people that will qualify for a MMJ card here. And I’ve ssid this before .... if you had a child or family member that was chronically ill, well then the bud is on me.

Me too! Years ago I quit to get a job and took a year off smoking. I was so much sicker from my illness. I realized then the medicine pot was for me.

And we all thought we would make a nice legal profit. And in the beginning as the dispensaries established themselves we could. They needed us. Had a contract with one my first year growing. Didn’t last long til they were busted because of their kid selling to minors.

And now...........

It is illegal for us to donate to a dispensary so they keep us all on the fringe of the black market. The big money wants to do all the growing and selling. They want us to be quiet and keep to ourselves. Or we are charged as drug dealers.

I don’t want to stop you from your dream by any means my friend. But unless you can grow better than the competition and competition is allowed you are quite late to the game.

Legal rec weed means big cash crops will be out front. Medical weed was simply a gateway to decriminalize the plant so they could sell it.

Everything you’ve said is so true. I’m sure it will pan out the same way here. No dreams truly shattered

It all works out man. I bought an old house in the woods by a lake and a river and am getting by.

2 patients and Mrs. MMG have shown great improvement with their illnesses and health problems now.

I do what I can do. I always said legal weed will just be an overpriced liquor store even if they discover weed has medical value. Thy go where the money is.

I told my wife I was going to keep trying to find a way to grow and make a living until I found an obstacle I could not climb. I thought I found it until Friday.
I had been given some advice that I needed a horticulturist on board to have a shot at a cultivation license. Well on Friday I met one, and she said she’d be on board. Just a dream but dreams do come true. I’m ready to make a change
