Been looking into the whole organics thing and I would like to go organic for my next grow. Can anyone reccomend any good nutes growing organically with coco?

Im not really experienced enough to be making teas etc. and im not even sure if its possible in coco to use teas. Just wanted something straight out of the bottle :hump:

Much appreciated!

I was mainly unsure as to whether the Canna A&B is organic? I know that it is used especially for coco grows... Is there anything else that anyone has had good experience with?

I have been growing with organics for a few years now and I uce the following

33% promix
33% coco
33% worm castings

If you can get the worm castings it is so worth it.

If not go 50/50 pro/coco

I have used the following for 8 years and find it very consistant and does a great job.

Pure Blend Pro

Liquid Karma
Cal-Mag

With the worm castings I feed at a rate of 20 to 30% recomended. The castings supply the rest of the food.

Peace

Could we just use BioCanna nuts with coco only? I am fascinated in growing in coco and i would like to treat it like a hydro using biocanna nuts. Will dat work?

Thanks for the info woodsman! That sounds like a tried and tested method. i used castings on my last grow mixed in with the soil and they were awesome. Made for some really healthy looking plants.

I just wondered though whether anyone had experience growing purely in organic coco with organic nutes? Im not sure whether i want to use slow release nutes as i have read posts that say not to use them in coco due to the unreliability of the substrate regarding feeding... Anyone any ideas?

The worm castings break down over 2 to 3 years so that would be the only slow release in there. The castings help repel bugs, help your roots Feed better, start posative micro and benifical oganisams, and retain moisture.

I tried growing in just coco and found I had to water twice as much. I am a little lazey so I try to keep is simple, less to go wrong.

Just my thoughts

Peace

Its because in coco plants can drink much faster and better so dat i think it is good and plants love it. Woodsmaneh what about buds quality from ur crop in coco?

Thanks again, yeah hear you on the whole watering thing. Can be a pain if youre having to water twice as often. Keeping it simple is definatly the way forward!
Just need to get used to the grow mediums. Being as this will be my second grow I just wanted something which I could do quite easily. Dont much like the idea of mixing teas etc just yet. Thanks for the heads up

compost tea would do very well for plants roots. Its recommended with coco as well. Often watering in coco occurs only with small pots. If you give a big enough pot u could water every third day what is not that often is it.

Yeah ive been looking at the biobizz nutes for coco. Still think im going to use an all coco grow because as you said diesel the plants love that shit! Just have to look for something specifically for this soiless mix which is organic. Would have to supplement with some kind of cal mag though cos they really need that in coco.

Ok... so did a bit more research, turns out the biobizz or any other organic stuff is crap for coco due to microherds and the medium not being able to take on all avaliable nutrients. Seems that for organics a soil mix as suggested is the best way to go. Sorry woodsman, its not that I dont trust your info, just wanted to check out a few things first. May go with the above mix as suggested, but the canna terra range also seems quite good. Thanks

Every solution works and every grower has its ways to grow buds. Tbh woodsman's soil mix is similar to the BioTerra plus soil from canna. It doesnt matter that much which way u want to grow ur plants and u will be happy with the results anyway.
