Personally I would rather make a bigger order, and receive free shipping...that just my 2cents
Yah still evaluating. Main problem here is product weight as some products I'll make $30 profit per 4L bottle that weights 10LB's while another product I only make $10 profit for the same size bottle/weight so the shipping cost is same for each bottle obviously the bottle with $10 profit, the profit is eliminated but the shipping weight cost.

So I'm thinking $200+ free shipping and $150-199 50% off shipping with the new shipping cost I got the 50% off would work . still need to run several test cases to make the final decision.

its the free shipping that gets me bro
I'd love to but atm brain storming a sustainable system. Even if a store had the highest shipping discount of 30%, for nutrients sales its not doable in the long run, the weight of the products make the shipping much more expensive then even electronics. . If you notice, the online stores that have been around the longest never had free shipping till about $200-500 level some even $1000. This might be different in the US where there's 10x as many people and shipping discounts are much better. There will be a free option and one or two other shipping tiers or product discounts.

I wonder what growlights.ca uses because they do free shipping on anything over $99, nutrients included. Maybe you could do something along the same lines?

Well selling something like this for 549.99 which weight less than a 4L Gh Micro but you make 10x more profit then its doable with free shipping. The shipping for both of those items would be the same about $30 from BC to Ontario only thing is a store will have more nutrients sales than hardware sales. https://www.growlights.ca/growlights/grow-light-kits/1000-watt-double-ended-de-kits/agrolux-alf1000-208-277v-optimal-reflector.html

"So I'm thinking $200+ free shipping"

>so this is out too?
No that is still a go. There will be two or one more level of shipping probably say a flat rate that is across Canada or a discount on nutrients for sales of say 100 or less, I'd like to give smaller growers who only need 1L a chance to get some savings. I'm trying to set up one method where I don't have to change it later or at least be able to give better options later on.

From learning about shipping rates in the last week and how much they cost in Canada seems a lot of the shops are just using the site as a loss leader especially on the nutrients. That might work if you're Amazon and you're in the states where shipping is at least 1/2 price but running as a loss leader on products that would sustain your store just to get customers is not sustainable as eventually something has to give, after all you need to make money to keep the shop going.

Anyone interested in powdered potassium silicate? I normally buy a 55gal of liquid KASIL #6 and break it down to smaller sizes but ran out and since its $$$$$ and was thinking of selling just the powder or flakes and sell per 1KG.

Staff at Indoor Farmer are awesome, friendly and helpful. That is where I bought my Source Turbo.
They were nice to me.
Bought some fans from them.

One thing id like to point out though ...seeds in Canada...GTA don't sell seeds no more. However they are going to be selling hydro equipment. Will be the same url they used to sell seeds.

My permit to sell Potassium Nitrate came it :) although it requires I keep the info of the buyer and am suppose to ask for ID but I'm having them check if having just the mailing address/name is sufficient.

Edit: or it didn't that was just a pass code to the site to renew the old license but I'll still sell. Also forgot I can sell Sodium Nitrate too. Guess should check on the shipping requirements or boom lol
