your docter is there to help you and assist you in the path of treatment you choose best, if your doctor is unwilling to do that, they aren't doing their job.
thank you, you're right. that gives me some confidence. and now that I think about it my family's physicians have always been quite understanding. i'll just give it a go. i'll come back here and share my experience, too.

Now thats the problem in Canada! Doctors here have been given a generalized memo from HC stating that they will be held responsible if and when they sign any paperwork and basically hint at not signing due to the condition of the current system. Why I know this is my doc actually showed me the memo and was told that they recieve one at least every year.
I found this release form which should ease most physician's concerns about that issue:

Sorry to hear that electro.

Have you looked into Ricks Simpsons "run from a cure"? If you are serious about using the oil to medicate you should google him or his site, its a real EYE OPENER.

I too have a cancer, of the blood though, and am currently using his hemp oil treatment. I truly believe that cbd's and cbn's are a real option when there is little else.

Its worth reading and can bring a little hope like it has for me.

Good Luck, best wishes.

Thanks, SG.

I've watched Rick's video, along with others, and while I'm not confident that it would be able to cure my wife, I think it would help with her quality of life when it comes to pain and general well-being.

I have sourced a supply of sugar trim from a grower who was VERY interested to hear about this type of treatment, so hopefully we can try it out soon. And I'm looking to get my wife on edibles as her spine has started breaking down and we just had a pain crisis that lead to a prolonged ER visit where they told us that a few vertebrae have collapsed and bone fragments were pushing on her spinal cord.

We have to consider spinal surgery now... rods and all that.

She had a full hip reconstruction almost a year ago.

All the best to you, too.

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if you can give me your opinion. I ws diagnosed by a rheumatologist with fibromyalgia in Dec, 2011. He phoned me in Jan 2012 to say my x-ray showed arthritis and he needs an MRI. The MRI is now booked for June 2012. The meds my family doc prescribed don't help much and/or make me throw up. I've been using marijuana to help manage the pain at night and it works so well. I only use about 1 gram to smoke/day. I now have a vaporizer, but would rather make tea so I might be using more soon. So my question is, do you think it's too early to try and apply using one of the tele-docs? I qualify as per section 2.

Secondly, I can buy from a local compassion club if I fill out my paperwork showing that I've given a declaration of intended use to my doctor. I'm very scared to tell my regular doc, as I really do not want him to know at this point. So I could keep buying off the street, but that's very risky for my job. I"m also concerned to email the club to ask if I could use a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, as at least this wouldn't be on my health record...yet, but the club might tell me to get lost and not sell to me. ANy ideas what to do?

i have a Simple answer for you here, If your not ready to tell your doctor, then your not prepared to go legal. Simple as that.
pipe dreams are nice, but they are just that....

when you change your position and feel like being honest with your doctor you might have a chance, until then keep buying off the street as the way your trying to approach this has fail written all over it...
sorry.

Ok, thanks. I think you're right. But as for my first question, do you think it's too early to try and apply using one of the tele-docs, do you have an opinion on that?

i think your best to talk to your doctor first, possibly try another in your area... then explore the clinics as a last option
not trying to be rude but it sounds like you do need regular medical attention so its better to be straight forward with your doctor than going and doing something behind his/her back ya know?

not trying to convince you not to go forward with this, i get that mj works for you :)
just saying dont alienate yourself from your doctor before even talking to them

You're right and I do need regular medical care. It's been really hard to face up to the fact that I'm not going to get better. I hope/dread the results from the upcoming MRI as I know it won't be good. It's still hard to face people and tell them what's wrong with me, even though obviously my doc knows.

do yourself a favor, Go talk to your doctor!

there's 2 things that are a possibility of happening, he will consider it/say yes.... or outright say no
there's a medical release form for practitioners that releases them of liability for prescribing mmj that can be useful if your doctor is reluctant

Arthritis is the easy way to get your licence as you don't need a specialest, your Dr can give you up to 5g a day = 25 plants.

You have to discuss this with your Dr. as the recomenndation will come from him with supporting documentation. Best to find out now where he sits. I would bring in all the paper work and be prepaired to convince him. You can also go to the CMA site and print off the release letter, sigh and offer it to him. Shows you did your home work and are willing to take control of your treatment.

You can't make tea as THC is not water soluble. You need oils or alcohol to move the good stuff.
Baking is best. Canna butter or oil for making your goodies.

Here's an update. I talked to my Doc and he said "yes". However, we looked at which form B1 or B2 and as the arthritis is still being investigated further he said better to go with B2. So all was fine until we got to the part where it says the specialist knows, etc. So my Doc called the specialist who confirmed the diagnosis, but warned my doc not to sign. Instead he wants my Doc to send me to another Doc who has an interest in medical marijuana, not far from my place, and get the specialist endorsement there. Anyway my Doc is going to get me the appointment with the other doc. I gave him my compassion club notice so he knows what's going on. Not quite finished the hurdles, but all in all, a really good day.

tell the docter the specialist is a fucking moron. the specialist does NOT HAVE TO SIGN, they dont even have to AGREE! you only NEED the assessement, and it only needs to say your using mj for w/e it is that your going after it for...
the specialist has ZERO bearing on weather or not your paper work is approved, its simply a loop hole that health canada makes you jump through...

as far as im concerned your 100% good to go and dont let anyone tell you otherwise!

Glad to hear your making progress. For any scrips over 5 g Health Canada will only accept a recommendation from a specialist. Your Dr can sign your papers up to 5g.

Get him to fill out the B1 form and check severe arthritis off and your good for 5g a day = 25 plants

Yeah, I know it's just another hoop to jump, but that's ok. I can go to the Compassion Club for now and continue to get this sorted out. Overall, even if this is a lot of hoop jumping, I"m on the right track and my family doc supports me 100%. So I think I"m very lucky. :bigjoint:

Hello I live in Ontario and I suffer from a variety of ailments and am looking to get my Health Canada license for my cannabis medicine.

Since Dr. Kammermans and Dr. Philips aren't signing forms any more does anyone know of a 420 friendly doctor anywhere in Ontario I can see?

Any help is greatly appreciated as I would love to get my application in for my license ASAP.
