With a 4 gram a day need I cannot afford to buy it from the government. I don't have the income. Well I guess it's time to call Human Rights and file suit when this happens.
Hopefully all patients will join together in that suit.

I think it is going to be an up hill battle on stopping people from growing, they let the cat out of the bag and it will be hard to get it back in. The plant count starts at 6 plants for jail time if it gets put into law. A meeting with Health Canada at the end of Feb. HC said they will stop renewing grow licences in July of 2013. I think that date will move out as they get closer to qualifying commercial growers. Right now they are working on guide lines and will publish in Dec.

sativex is close. think they're gonna try and replace opiates with canna meds? cheapest get rich quick hustle EVER.
Cannabis products will never replace opiate based pain killers for 2 reasons, the 1st being that even the strongest strains dont work for pain control, weather smoked, vaped or ingested no amount of thc will compete with a 500mg vicoden,mj has little effect on serious pain.

The other reason mj wont replace opiates is the system for opiate manufacturing & distribution thats allready in place, its like thinking electric cars will replace fossil fuel cars, the distribution & manufacturing systems are simply too powerfull to be replaced.

CBD is a pretty potent pain killer. Most strains have very small %'s. I agree that opiates have a place though. MJ is beneficial for opiate users though in that it's an analgeisic which increases the effectiveness of those opiates (you can take less).

Also, opiates do little for neuropathic pain. MJ? Wonder drug.

Cannabis could effectively replace Codeine in my opinion. I know this is technically morphine once digested but most people who are prescribed codeine usually have less serious pain. I believe it is also safe to say Codeine is one of the most commonly prescribed opiates.

Codeine has side-effects, like bumming you up with constipation. Pot has no side-effects, as far as I can tell, as a life long toker. I've noticed codeine and mj works great for pain, and codeine alone I can't even detect a difference if I take it or not.

This licenced supplier bullshit is just to put money back into the pharmaceutical companies, because grows are practically free in comparison, and can be done very safely through education and proper grow units. All of their reasons for doing this can be countered.
