Canada in Reverse

Talk about mafia controls this takes the cake. The Canadian Government wants to charge people eight times more for medicinal marijuana and give everything to their Government Commercial Growers. Why would they do this to poor people who suffer and have no income? It will certainly hamper efforts in the US to condone medicinal marijuana to private growers. I thought Canada was so cool for what they offered the suffering but it seems money has gone to their heads!

ALL governments that rely on maintaining power by force eventually show their guns. You shouldn't be surprised by this. Wait until the USA institutes a Federal Pot tax...too funny.

"nostalgia is one of the most damaging untreated mental conditions we face today"
I don't know. I rather enjoy remembering the good times.

we like to have a history, something solid, something to ground our beliefs in. (most of them are false and flawed.)
by doing so we encourage this necrosis to happen and the de-evolution of the people.

I try not to repeat unfortunate historic events from my life and as witnessed by others.

as a child did you see people cutting in front of others to get ahead? lieing? cheating? stealing?

of course. still see shit like this, and I call them on it too.

is it okay?

of course not

why do they lie?
why do they cheat?
why do they steal?

I try not to concern myself with the motivation and reasoning of fools. I have other more productive things to focus my attentions on. I'm sure there are many reasons that could lead up to these types of behaviour.

You are turning this into a philosophy thread. Perhaps you should go start a new thread there. You may get more input on your questions.

I'm really super amazed with all the replies to my post. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and this is the place for it. Just to get back on track. Marijuana used to be sold in the US for $10/oz back in the sixties. Somehow it has jumped to over $400/oz just because it is illegal and I guess some people have that much change laying around to blow. I'm one of the poor people in this country that feel this is just too much. Granted it's nice smoke and probably more potent than the Columbian I smoked in 1986 for $125/oz. I'm also one of the people who don't have Health Insurance and rely on Charity Care from local Health Care providers. The only options these outlets offer for Heart Disease are generic prescription drugs that have more side effects than true results. It's a know fact that you will not live one day longer taking these medicines. I have been a medical user for many years and still feel that smoking marijuana does me more good than any one of the prescribed medications. When Canada legalized the use of Medical Marijuana for any one willing to purchase a license I thought this was the answer and still is. I'm forced to grow in closets and wander through the brush to find spots that will produce a bud. I feel that we as smokers are socially discriminated as just about every thing else is legal. The news is full of busts for Pot but where do we hear of a bust for Cocaine, Crack and Controlled Substances? One of my friends lived in an apartment project that was full of the people who were displaced by Hurricane Katrina. He said one of his most memorable experiences was seeing a young Black boy on his bicycle with sign stating "3 crack balls for $25". If Marijuana was legal would people do crack and cocaine just so they can pass a Drug Screen for a job? I really think the whole scene has just been blown out of proportion by greedy Politicians and people who are just not looking at the real situation we have today. I want to look past all this and start living a life free of paranoia, discrimination and mistrust but really have no hope as long as medicinal marijuana is illegal to grow in my own garden by my own hand. A good example would be tomatoes. You can either purchase them from commercial growers or grow them in your own garden. I think anyone that has raised them would agree that the ones in the garden are better. I'm thankful for the Internet and the information it provides as this is my only hope for a true Democracy.

you didnt hear about what JT wants
"Decriminalization just removes the criminal penalties that are applied to people for having consumed, or owning marijuana, and that tends to bog down the legal system, and keeps the gangs, basically and the criminal elements that are profiting from marijuana."
"Once we control it, tax and regulate it, we allow for development of a medical marijuana industry, that will actually be responsive to the needs of the many consumers of medical marijuana," he told the crowd.

Justin Trudeau is IN FAVOR of medical marijuana and once he is elected (hopefully) in 2014 and becomes PM he will decriminilize it until than we just need to vote liberal, which im sure he will will as conservatives have been acting like real fucktards

honestly i can say i think he will win, everyone loved his dad, and they all love him hes like the golden child of canada. lol

I knew there was something bad happening in Canada ever since I watched that one documentary about oil in Canada. Where the oil companies get oil from sand, and some of the toxic waste which they create leaks into the rivers, then the fish die, get cancer, and then the people down river get cancer and die as well.

The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree I guess, or something like that.

Its on the Indian Reservations. That's where all the garbage goes. Ever been to one? Many are difficult to tell apart from a landfill. I spent some time in Pine Ridge, SD for work many years back. Those people(Native Americans) got screwed over hardcore, probably the worst off minority in the nation.

i happent o live in a city and the reserve is actually in the city outskirts but still close enough i could walk and no thave to go on a highway there are some homes that are so beautiful there but 99% of them are trash, and it isnt just oh its an old home, no the residents of the reserves treat them like trash
now i love native culture, and i realize we stole their land, i get that , but they actually treat their land like shit, you cannot go into reserves at night its a fucking ghetto, stabbings, people get the shit kicked out of them, drugs, break ins, spray painting on homes, like the native younger generation is terrible they ruin their reserves or at least the few ive been too View attachment 2752556View attachment 2752557View attachment 2752558
they are given a lot of things is it enough? no probably not. does it make up for what we did hundreds of years ago? no. not by a long shot
but if your native council is given beautiful land, keep it for land, conservation, only they can hunt on it kinda deal, so that it can flourish as the land they once knew,
not fucking cars jacked up on cynderblocks, screaming and yelling, alcoholics who cant even fucking get up off the street ,
reserves are really gross. their younger generation has lost touch with their roots, i see it every fucking single day.
in fact i just came back from the grocery store near the reserve and almost just got robbed for my fucking shampoo
