I have tried LST with them before and it will help on some strains but not all ... Some strains perform better when left alone if u have two of the same strain u can try it with one of them...

Sure you can. You can even top them. By day 21 as long as healthy looking and 5-6 true nodes you can top at the 5th and will barley stunt.

I always thought that they flip to flowering after 3-4 week ??? Every auto I have grown I do some LST but that’s about it ... I would think that day 21 would be too late

Original sensible seed company... CFLs. Just Natural Organic potting mix,and potting soil. Earthworn castings...
Was thinking about adding blood and bone meal,but its too late now

Yes. 3-4 weeks of VEG. Autos still get seedling stage too account for.

iMO bro u should just LST them to get light to all the branches and if u don’t have a lot of cfl’s in there u won’t get a very big harvest .. I wouldn’t top them people that top probably have a good light setups

I'm thinking about getting more powerful lights, maybe some more 42s,but I don't want it to get too hot in the tent,it's hard controlling the heat now, but I want more light... I'm going to run these CFL's a couple of times before I go with an led or cob...I want to master this technique first...

Ahh. If it was 1 plant, i would've suggested getting an auto cob. Believe its 1 single 55 watt cob for $109. And you can buy more anutime you want to upgrade. 1 of those per plant would be surely better than cfl, but i totally agree with not shelling mega bucks while still testing waters.

so should I get two more 42w cfls and pray that I don't burn my plants?well maybe not burn them, cause I don't keep the lights that close,but the heat!!!

How many cfl do you have per plant? If i remember(i used 2 200 watt 2700k cfls for my first grows) 100 watts is minimum you want per plant and 200 is good amount. 42 watters are my favs actually. Better to have many little over few big cause you can position how you like for even lighting. Id position 3 42 watters in a triangle at a minimum for each plant. Close to the top mid of plant and 1 on top could do good. Cfl grows nice, just need to keep them 2-4" from plant is all. And moving every day to make sure they wont touch. If you like to try on a budget first and like easy/cost of cfl, why not use household led? They screw in like cfl and are more intense and dont cost much more than cfl. Led section had people using them great. 14 watt sizes were what i saw most.

I've thought about it, believe me! I think that I will get a 300-600w led off of Amazon or eBay and use my cfls to veg for a perpetual grow... I'm learning a lot about growing from all of you and I appreciate all your help!!!

Anytime. Im excited with my own personal situation. Month ago i finally got invested in Mephisto autos. Got 4 strains. Bought a new 135 watt QB led to replace my 90 watt Area 51 and those 2 big 200 watt cfls. Usually love GH Flora Micro/Bloom Lucas bit been reading mad good stuff on Mega Crop so got 2 free samples 230/1000 grams of nutes and 420 sale gave me 5 brand new spanking Mephisto strains. New light(better than what i had), free nutes(good reviews and 3 plants worth seed to harvest) and 9 strains to choose 3 of XD now if it would not snow anymore and just warm up so i could start my stuff indoors.
