Can you tell what this is? (PICS)

Can anyone tell me if this is a deff. or burn. I thought it was just becuase I kept my lower lights too close but now it's starting to spread. All help is appreciated.

I think i :might" be hotspots.

That's what I thought but it's starting to spread to other leaves. I pruned off all the leaves that dried up. it seems to creep slowly up a node every other day to the leaves. I hope it's just hot spots. I am using 40 watt cfl's. if that helps identify the problem. and I just started giving it nutes 3 days ago only about half strength.

because the leaves are so very dark, and because they are curling down ever so slightly. i'm going to say you have over-nuted the plant. flush it really well then give it only water for a week or two untill you see vigorous growth again.

What are your temps? Do you have proper airflow? How often you feeding with nutes? Don't mean to pry but these are a few things to go over.

Temp is between 70-78 degrees. less than half strength nutes every watering (2-3 days) and I have a fan directly on them. Thanks for the help.

I don't think they are hot spots leaves are getting worse. they first turn how the pictures i first posted then the leaves dry up and become very brittle. someone please help I think my baby is sick.
