I've come to the conclusion that my cheap digital ballast is creating noise in the surrounding cable connections, which has caught the eye of the cable company. Could someone recommend a magnetic ballast that will not interfere?

Also, consider that my electric aptitude peaks at connecting a computer fan to a phone charger. Are these complicated to setup?

I was using a HTG magnetic 400 up til last week. Never had any issues like that and it was sitting right on the other side of the wall from my TV, wireless router and modem.
They're cheap bro and work great, just stick a builb in the socket they provide and plug in the ballast and your off.

They put out the same amount of heat as any other 400w HPS. It's not a ton but it was more than I thought it would be. I used an air cooled hood with a 120V PC fan pulling cool air from outside the room, through the light and back out of the room and with just that little fan was able to keep temps in the low to mid 80s.

As far as the buzzing, it does make a little buzz noise but I had it sitting up on top of my grow room, about 7' high, and couldn't hear it when in the garage. Unless the fans were all off of course but even then, it's pretty quiet.

if your dig ballast is interfering why would you think a magnetic ballast would make less? rf noise by nature is electromagnetic.
