Can You Overwinter Lemongrass?

I have some lemongrass that I grew from seed. It grows real real slow. I live in New York State. Out of an entire pack, 4 survived and grew to very small bushes that are really closely clumped together.

I harvested a few to show. I am wondering if I can take some of it and overwinter it in a pot and cut off the tops and let it hibernate till after December and then start watering it.

Has anyone had any experience with lemongrass? I'd like to keep trying to grow it.

just grab a decent size pot and plant in there you can then grow all year round.
i have one in my front garden been there for years it just keeps on growing.
if you leave them long enough they grow into quite a big plant ...:-)
will take a photo for you when the batteries recharge

thanks. I'm glad cannabis isn't as fussy about getting started. The lemongrass took almost 3 months just to go from a thin seedling to a proper stalk.

that is unusual it is actually quite vigerous, give it plenty of water and a good feed now and again.and you will want to give it plenty of sun in the spring/ summer.
and you should get plenty of it use....
