can you pick the buds off a plant and keep it alive for it to regrow and rebud over and over? i remember one time taking a 4 foot tall pot plant that was just a huge stem with one leaf taht was ripped outta the ground and picked and i put it back in the ground under a light and it started to grow back but i forgot to water it and it died like two weeks later, is this possible to keep growing buds instead of planting new seeds or cloning?

yes you can, just leave some branches, leaves, and buds on the plant and put it back to 18/6 then about a month or so it will be revereted back to veg state and can be flowered again when u desire - your chance is very slim if you only leave a few leafs, you need to leave some full branches with the buds on them intact

You can, but I wouldn't suggest this. The quality and quantity of the yield is decreased when you do this. That goes for taking clones off of it. They will be of poor quality too. Just bud her once and trash her.

Its possible yeah.

You will probably yield less than the time before though. I'm not an expert on it and I know for a fact you can find your information by typing it in google, and looking for a while. But I will give you the information that I know off the top of my hat.

Supposedly they need a lot of nitrogen, and you cut off certain places(you will have to look online for that, something about leaving the lower buds on). Then you just give it 24 hours of light or 18, what ever your preference is, and if you are lucky it might go back into vegetation.

Not necessarily, most people actually claim that they get a better yield and potency, I have done it myself and not noticed a difference

i've seen old school 100% sativa plants get harvested gradually over the course of 5 - 8 months and still going strong. not something i would recommend with indicas.

My friend grew a plant outside last year, and harvested the entire thing, it is nothing but a green stalk sticking out of the ground.
He's hoping it will "come back to life" this year. I try not to laugh at him because he's my friend. Maybe I'll show him that picture of
the mutant goat you have to cheer him up when his plant is still a green (if not brown) stalk sticking out of the ground. :D

yeah, this was "continuous harvest", and those ppl were -fucking pros- when i was a noob beyond noob.

does your friend know about gardening (non-canna)? maybe you should take pity on him and explain the difference between a perennial and an annual? ;) (unless last year's girl got seeded, in which case there might be hope? lol)
and you should show him the mutie goat (who really needs a name, imo) anyways, what emotional situation wouldn't be improved by an appearance from he/she/it?

I tried to tell him it is dead, and offered him a beer. You can't tell him nothing. He will have to learn the hard way I guess.
Once he realizes the truth, I will be waiting there with some beer and a blunt, and a pic of Mutie the Goat. (he likes those damn blunts,
a waste imo, but, I'm a good friend)

man, i get an image of a dude sighing over last year's stump, and it's so sad. i mean, i'm doing the "is it growing yet?" dance everyday myself with my veg seeds but you know, pretty sure those are comin up.... ;)

you gots to do better than that. i was thinking more like "Runner" or "Billy the Third".

and hey, you shouldn't run wi scissors, mang. or fall asleep onto them.

I was going to go with "Billy the Goat", Or "Leggy".
I don't think he'll be too upset, he'll just plant another, or get some clones from me and work with that.
But his state of mind right now is, "it's still green, that means it is still alive". I told him once already what
will happen, I tried the same exact thing he's doing, when I was 16, 18 years ago, and just ended up planting
new ones. Now when the subject comes up, I nod and smile. Occasional thumbs up. He's thinking about doing
something indoors, and my only knowledge on that, is what I have researched. He thinks he will get away with
no ventilation in the closet he plans to use, and no odor control. I tried to tell him he needs both, he said he
doesn't, so I guess he will have to learn the hard way on that too. I feel sorry for him kind of. I told him to at
least buy a DVD first before he starts, or I'll burn a copy of the one I have on the way, and give that to him.
It'd be a shame if he spends a bunch of money, and fails at it all because of lack of research.

btw, best advise, do not run with scissors. It is frowned upon.

I grew one plant, a White Siberian from Attitude, harvested it for 70 grams dry, re-grew her with
another veg and flower, second harvest of same yield, re-grew again with yirld of 55 grams dry.
I could have kept her going indefinetly but the buds were becoming smaller even as their number
multiplied. I noticed no drop off in quality after continuous re-growing, but the product got too small
for these older eyes to work with.

Good Luck, BigSteve.

How about half the branchs,,, When I cut off buds I left the last two SETS OF BUDS on each branch CUT OFF EVERYTHING PAST THE FIRST TWO BUDS ON EACH BRANCH
