Can you Identify strains from just a seed ?

After a decent search on google and this forum, is it possible to tell if a seed is Indica or Sativa ? So far its mixed, some people say yes some people say no. Obviously you can't tell the specific strain even once the plant is fully grown its questionable what the plant might be, but just your basic Indica vs Sativa ?

No, not from my experience. I've seen all ranges of sizes from landraces with no discernable correlation between indica or sativas.

No, the only thing I've found that you can sometimes tell from the seed is if the plant will have especially small calyxes. When seeds are really small when fully ripe they usually come from strains that have equally small individual flowers and they usually have very tight and dense buds.

This is even worse than people thinking you can tell the sex of the plant from looking at the seed

Yea it says it on packet they come in other than that no,I have had big seeds and small seeds of the small strain ,any one who says they can Id a seed just through looking ,is on drugs .And it ain't weed.I have never seed Lambs balls funny enough ,and I hope I never do
