Can you grow decent mary jane with basically no nutes just soil?

Hello, just wondering if you can actually grow maryjane in a big pot of new good soil, but without adding any nutrients or anything later? Obviously in the wild the plants would get nutrients from rain and soil etc so just seeing if you planted a plant outdoors in fresh soil, would it produce buds, or do you have to feed it to get full yield and potency, thanks
 
indoor? im sure if you use a pot large enough that could hold enough nutes from the start... why not. might not be the best killer bud but i dont see why it wouldnt work
 
ok thanks mate, yeah they are in big pots, they are outside though, i may give them some tomato feed or something like that, will be starting flowering in a couple of days, you know if this is a bad time to start giving it nutes as might shock the plant? thanks
 
yeah could still be nice, you dont have to spend £££ or $$$ on nutes though some are just as good and are cheap, nutes wotn shock the plant aslong just give it flower nutes if its in flower or veg nutes for veg, and allways start at 1/2 the stated dose and then slowly match the stated dose
 
i have trainwreck out on my balcony i just moved into a 5gal bucket i havnt used any nutes... i am using 99cent dirt mix that i cut with some fine broken up Styrofoam and a few veg skins like apple bannana and onion i water her with fishtank water waste every few days...ive never bought any fert/nutes and she looks fuckin great. its a little more than nothing and shes doin awesome. if you get a little$$ spoil yours with some nutes if you want...just be careful not to over do it

Highly recommend his Super Soil, I just feed them water and molasses every other watering to give them some more flavor but you could go with out

Have given rep to all you guys, very helpful tokers indeed, well thats good nice to know you can just throw a seed in a bucket, water it and still have some decent erb to smoke at the end of it. Might give it some nutes, but nice to know it should be alright. What i did was when i planted the seeds it was in small pots in quite nutrient rich soil, then when they needed repotting i repotted it in completely different soil and they seem to be doing ok, this might work in my favour as different soils might have different nutes, but because i dont know much about it, all its probably done is confuse the plant and stunt its growth lol
 
wow nice buds! thats cool mr mike i've got a fish tank also, obviously the waste is high in nitrogen, so you think i should feed it with fish tank juice when i change the water in the tank weekly? Its freshwater, but i used tapsafe in the water to remove chlorine etc, on the bottle says it leaves the water clear of impurites and adds magnesium and aloe vera, this might be a problem?

sorry man ive been out... yeah i recommend using the tank water its free nutes. ive even gone as far as filling a large bucket outside and set it up with a power jet to keep it from getting stagnant and letting mosquito lay eggs and when ever i find snails in one of my tanks i toss them in there... the snails eat any solid waste in there and break it down even further kinda like worms. just give it a good mix to get the gold off the bottom and thats some awesome power water. as far as what water you put in the tank, I have a few old 5ltr wine bottles that i fill up and let sit out in the sun for a day or two. I just use that. if i could afford it i might not bother with all that and just get some nutes but im broke as fuck and just wanna get high
