can you cut the roots?

Is it ok to trim the roots at all, or will that kill the plant?

What size pot is your mother in? I would think if the roots were coming out of the bottom it would be time for a bigger pot. Ur Hydro grow looks good. Good Luck.

they are first in rockwool, and then in a 2 gallon container with clay pellets. Theres 3 holes in the bottom for drainage and they are starting to come out of those holes. my fear is that i cant move them now, if i take them out of the pots id basically have to rip the roots out of the clay pellets...dont want to do that. So, i think im stuck with the pots i originally put them in. But definitly worried about cutting the roots.
