can you cut dead or yellow fan leaves?

i see alot of new growth can i cut the yellow or dead leaves off they were sick looking alot better dont want to hurt them or stop the recovery i just wanted to make room for new growth to get light. thanks

yeah if u want usually if u can bend it a lil and it comes off. it was ready but yeah try without cutting. light tug/bend
