You cant, they are dependent on human cloning and cultivation now. They set seed but rarely, and when they set seeds rarely, they almost never germinate. I have looked for 5 years and cannot find seeds. In the wild they fall over, and root from stems.

you can't really buy them.

the plant seems to have lost interest in flowering, so getting seeds out of them is even harder. i've had mountains of them and never seen anything close to a flower from one

You can buy them although they're rare and expensive and hardly any will germinate. You'd be better off just buying a cloned plant

I have come across a sight where you can buy whole plants (young ones). Like said before, salvia seeds hardly ever germinate so your best bet is to get a cloned plant.
