Can they go outside?

Ive been doing a CFL grow inside and I am wondering if during the day in the hot sun if I should/can take them outside during the day to give them some good sunlight. Someone please let me know something.

I have mine outside. She went straight from indoor light to outside sun. which wasn't smart on my part.

I would be aware of burning them if it's never been in the hot sun so maybe put it in a shaded place for a few days to start, then gradually work your way out there. :] Good luck!

sooo...is what im saying take them out in the day and bring them back at night....then back out the next day then back in at night....an everyday process....NO GOOD????havnt done it yet....but wondering if i should???

How cold does it get at night?
and what's the temperature during the day?

If neither goes into any extreme then you should be able to leave it outside constantly. But, for the first week keep your plant protected from direct contact from the sun to reduce stress and burn of the plant. Mine took off when I put it outside, I had to tie some of the stems down.

well if you really wanna start taking them outside..do it in small amounts at first to get the used to it..everyday take them out for an hour..then the next two..and so on and work your way up..may even wanna start with 30 minutes..this way it will reduce stress..really also depends on how hot its getting..

My main objective is not to keep them outside just seeing if it would be better to take them outside during the day if i can but it will harm the plants i dont want to try it.I will just keep them inside. Also if they stay outside there is more chance of someone seeing them.

well yeah..but you still wanna work your way up..whats the point of only putting them out there for a few hours..you want to at least leave them out there the whole time there is sun light

Ahh, I see.
I just asked a similar question after I answered yours.. -.-

What I want to do is leave them only in the sun for 12 hours a day. It can't hurt it. It's like controlling the amount of time the plant gets light.

So, after you get your plant used to the sun, then yes, you can leave it out during the day and bring it in at night. Shouldn't do any harm.

what was the reasons in why you wanted to put them outside or was jus curious?? what cfls you got goin? i put mine out side now and then for a few hours if its a nice sunny day and it hasnt done mine any harm, but if you got low cfls goin and then stick it outside where its baking hot then you could do some damage as its a big difference ,, at the end of the day it is a plant so its not gonna jus go up in flames few hours a day will be fine,

if you do that it may grow pretty healthy buddy...when time to flower make sure you have the light power to get the most out of that hopefully healthy plant.

Yea I do have a sorta low CFL going so I will just try leaving them outside for a few hours at a time.I was just curious as to what is better for the plants.I keep my CFLS on 24/7 so it shouldnt hurt them to go out for 5 hours or so right?

Whats the watts on your cfls? Outside with mothernature is best but obviously depends on your weather if you got the good sunlight then it will definatly be better then cfls,, But what you do wanna do is get some more lights goin on specialy when it comes to 12/12.. Your want quality Buds
