my plants are 1 month into flower so they have about a month to go. but there is a fair amount of THC already on the buds and the small leaves, most of the hairs are still white but few have turned a little bit brown. so my question is if i take a little bud of and dry it quikly will it have an affect?? i no that its not recomended but i would like to try it! can someone who has done this or knows of someone who has done this let me know please. thanks 4 replies

I doubt it would have much effect.. I probably have a week to 10 days left and I snipped a little popcorn nug and I am on day 61 so I am waiting for it to dry without microwaving it or anything so it isn't nasty.. I am pretty sure it will have some effect because all the hairs on it are amber along with a few trichomes. But on 4 weeks in I imagine it would have little to no effects.

if you have no smoke id just cut off some of the small sugar leaves cause if you cut those buds think how much bigger they would have got

i personally wouldn't bother. unripe weed tastes like crap and usually only gives you a 15 minute crappy buzz, especially that early. you would need to smoke shitloads, especially of the leaves. i will sometimes sample a tree with 2 weeks left, but only if i'm completely out of weed or want to check for seeds or something. it's like smoking fresh cut grass and like someone already said it's only going to hurt your yeild in the end. wait till they are at least 6 or 7 weeks, because odds are if you sample now, you will want to sample later to compare. come harvest day you are going to have a stick in the ground. i would rather smoke shwagadellic brick thn sample my plant that early.

Not to be argumentative, but I have smoked some immature weed that gave me a pretty good high. The only thing bad about it is if it does turn out to be great, you will probably nibble away at your poor plant until its gone. I'm not very patient either, but it usually pays off in the end!

I just finished reading about taking small amounts of leaf and bud to guage when to harvest the whole plant. It also talked about how to quick dry some bud in a matter of hours so you could test everyday until you got the type of high you where looking for. Take from the bottom and middle in small amounts will do almost nothing to the plant. Enjoy...JR
