Can someone please tell me if my youngins look healthy?? DWC?

14 GAL DWC
600 WATT MH 1 FT AWAY FROM KIDS

PLANTS ARE FROM SEED. ONLY 10 DAYS OLD.

Do they look alright?? One plant is kinda taking off and the other ones are growing much more slowly. The more developed girl already has roots touching the water.

Any advice/tips?

i dont know. just some bag seed. this is my first grow im trying to make it through. havent killed anything yet, only 10 days in!!!
 
looking good buddy....... stuff a bit more hydroton in those netpots if you can ... the less light to the roots the better
 
Yeh dude!They are looking good 4 10 days old.Kabona's right!stuff some more hydroton into your nets.You might want to buy or make covers for net pots too.You want no light to penetrate your bucket.What kind of air pump & air stones are you using??Whats your ph,water temp & ppm's?They are important.
You may want to raise your light to 20 inches to 2 feet above your plants. Good luck on your grow.

I actually had the pots filled to the brim with hydroton and removed some since the cubes the seeds were in were starting to dry out but i think that was due to a low water height in the tub. But that should be fixed and I will add the hydroton back. I have covers for the net pots but haven't been using them lol

The tub has 2 aquarium air pumps and 4 12" airstones attached to the bottom. PH is 5.6. I've been cooling the tub by switching out frozen 2 liter bottles. Water temp is 76. PPM im not sure about. Kinda wingin it for now til I have a meter.
Been following the bottle of advance nutrients PPM and adding it to the water with a syringe so I can get exact measurements.

Also the light was started at 3 ft away and Ive gradually moved it down to 1 ft now. The plants dont seem to mind the light now. Im watching them closely for burn but nothing so far.

lol thats gotta be annoying.... im dont know much about dwc but why are your water temps so high??? dont you guys just put airstones in your buckets?
 
yup. only air stones. thats one of the probs of dwc, plants are susceptible to root rot due to high water temps
 
They look fine to me.Cant wait till they get bigger. Im about a month from moving to my new house then ill be right there with ya :mrgreen: Cant wait to start growing!!!!! + Rep keep us posted.
Ps What kind of dog do u have. He looks like my Boxer Bulldog
 
you do know the rockwool cubes should be about 1/2 in to 1/4 in above your flood line.. you do not want the rock wool to get submerged ,but hydroton has a small wick effect to get it moist. plus hand water the cubes untill the roots reach down into the good juice..if they arent down there already.
