can somebody outline the typical stages of the flowering cycle for me?

i'm at day 19 of flower on my first ever grow. things are coming along well, the buds are really starting to get hairy. they're not all that huge yet but i like the progress they're making so far.

my question is, what (generally) is the time line for flowering? when do buds really start to fatten? when do crystals start showing heavily on the leaves?

just looking for some insight on the flowering cycle. thanks guys.

Well everyone will tell u its strain dependant but indica is typically 9 weeks and sativas 12 to finish and it usually goes sex, tremendous onset of pistils for the next six weeks by week 5-6 ur nugs shoul be about as bid as theyl get as far as length (hope that made sense) and the last two weeks should consist of tremendous yellowing hairs browning and receeding into the buds resin glands should open and the bud should take on a goldish hue as well the color contrast over those two weeks is incredible. U should be able to look at it and know its ripe but the end result should be a yellowed plant that almost looks dead with golden hued buds and bright colored hairs. After a grow or two with the same strain u will be able to look at it and know its ripe. Patience is key 90% of the people here harvest early (I myself being guilty of such last grow :/ )

My noobself forgot to mention the swelling in those last two weeks u should see trichs all over by week 5
