hi everyone,
i recently started a crop that is now 3 weeks old. my plan is to flower most of them and keep the healthiest ones in a veg state for some mothers. my question today is about normal growing patterns, and i know this is quite elementary, but its getting close to flower time and im not sure im quite there yet. any how my plants are 3 weeks old and the largest one is no more than 3-4 inches tall with dense foliage. i got the seeds from a qp that was obviously hermi buds, so i have no clue what the genes are, but i was told when i bought the qp that the buds were juicey (which everyone seems to call normal grade buds nowadays). i have a feeling these could have been lowryders judging by the short but dense foliage growth, but at the same time im no expert, just a pothead. i keep these plants in more or less yogurt containers that are about 5 inches high and 3 inches across. i was told you should keep them vegin for about 4 weeks before flowering, and im not exactly worried that they may not be ready to flower by the end of this week, but im quite curious to know what someone with a lot more knowledge then me thinks. well as a matter of fact, judging by there rate of growth it seems like they will need about 6 weeks to veg. anyhow, what do u ppl think?

for some reason it wont let me upload photos so heres some links http://www.zshare.net/image/7663133809de189e/ http://www.zshare.net/image/766312185d114ea5/

no dude in your case i would not go by the book if they are only 4 to 4 inches i would let them atleast get 6 to 7 sets of leafs on them or wait until the plants show pre flowers. not with your plant at 3 to 4 inches i would wait to veg them until the got about a foot tall. what light are you using to veg . i hope i helped you out and at that big you should transplant them into there final homes. a three gallon pot.

i just looked at your plants they look good but they are no where close to flowering man you would not get anything out of them. give them another 3 weeks after you transplant them again. Thats what i would do if i where you. go check out my mmg.

thanks guy this has been quite helpful. i think u both are absolutely right, they dont have the room to expand. my plan was to keep them in these pots to ultimately control their final size, but i sappose this is way too small. im using five cfls, three 6500k and two 2700k, two 4 ft fluorescent tubes, again 6500k, and a aerogarden hood with two full spectrum cfls. also as u guys probly saw the pots are clear and i taped off the bottom to keep light away from the roots but its nothing hi tech so who knows what happening there. i think thats exactly what il do though, is transpant and hope they accelerate in growth. if you ghuys have any other advice i would be glad to hear it.

yea after transplant give them a week or so to take off and then put them into flowering. and post some more pics cause i want to see you having a awsome grow. and you said something about size if you want two weeks into flowering you can top them and you buds will get fat instead of having alot of smaller buds.
