Can plants bud and veg during regen?

Harvested about a lil over a month ago. I left some popcorn buds on there to regenerate see what happens for experiment. I also liked the quality and the genetics. Long story short I left her in a week of darkness and hit her with 24/7 on for 2weeks with waterings weekly no nutes. I wanted to see how resilient she is and what this stressing would do to her reveg process. To my surprise she grew buds and some foliage at the same time mainly more pistils instead of leaves and the buds were forming. I had to trim her several times on the lower branches. Those buds grew the fastest and are super frosty. The buds were also growing downwards and 3 tops out of 1 bud. I trimmed off all the old buds and this is what I got. Currently I’ve just been letting her grow. 12/12 was giving her nutes every other week water once a week but stopped just let her grow. I’m just curious if anyone has done this before or has seen this type of growth before. Again I’m just experimenting. I know during regen after harvest there will be some weird new growth. This is jus
