Can nodes be too tight?!?!

Searched a lil and most said it's fine as they will space out during the stretch but I'm still a lil concernced and think id like some opinions. I understand i can move the light away but do i really want to do that?..i currently am only using one 105 w cfl..5500 spec.18/6.on all 4 seedlings...they are between 1.5 to 2 inches in height and roughly 18 days old (which seems small). Do i really want to top a 3 inch plant? Should i wait a couple more weeks? Need to get the bush going so i can comence the cloning!!

Had an issue with hot soil..well perlite..during the first week of life...some seedlings didnt like the mg perlite..flushed and fixed immediately

nodes are like 8 to 10 mm apart...talk about tight

give um a chance they've only just sprouted, dont worry you'll get plenty of stretch with that light

I would worry more about the decaying leaves than spacing.

Thanks..Ill cut it off..it was slight nute burn in their early life...they taking nutes fine now at 1/4th strength

Yeah thats what i thought...only grew from seed twice some years ago and i remember them being taller and wider..before i started cloning them..but im getting no spacing between nodes this go round...so they are REALLY short..but everyone saying its ok...guess just ride it out and see what happens...btw i am feeding at about 1/4 strength...will up it next time...thanks!

Nope, nodes cannot be too tight. They will just create denser, fatter buds.

Guess you were right...i was only giving them like 75 ppm of nutes...fed them 300 yesterday and they grew overnight!!!!!

First 2 pics is where they i was only noticing growth every few days...those were taken yeaterday before i fed....last two are when i woke this morning...sweet!!!
