can metal halide bulbs be used for flowering?

okay so heres the deal i got 12 plants in a hydro set up, 400w light, i just switched to flowering 4 days ago and only one plant is showing sex, the reason im using a metal halide bulb is because my hps bulb is blown and is going to take about a week to get a new one.

sure you can, although HPS is more ideal.

how much would it effect my overall yield if i were to use metal halide up until harvest?

iam using MH to sex my plants then iam switching to HPS to finish off when i know the sex of my plants man
