Can i use this light/lamp?

I remember a friend of mine growing with this or somthing similar. Idk how his grow went but he combined this with some cfls and they vegged real nice, never got to see finish because i moved and never kept in touch with him. im wondering if the cfl's were the lights that actually did all the work.

QWL QUARTZ WORKLIGHTS FEATURES

• QWL150C has top hook for hanging and adjustable clamp allowing versatile application. A 150watt T-3 quartz lamp is included.
• QWL500S has padded handle and metal stand with adjustable aiming capability. This unit comes with two lamps, a 500watt and a 300watt, T-3 quartz lamp that allows selection of the amount of light needed. With two lamps you get twice the product life from the standard unit.

DO NOT USE SHOP LIGHTS

Thay are WAAAAYYYYYY too hot!

yea bad idea bro
plus that's a halogen isn't it?
halogens will never grow a plant
yea it probably was the CFL's doing the work

They are hot and don't provide any useable plant light.

Just because a light is bright does not mean it is good for growing plants. That is a Halogen lamp, look them up compared to grow lights, not a good idea.
