Can I trim a plant this young

Just wondering if I could trim of the huge fan leaves to let the lower leaves get light or will this harm the plant.

If your going to trim, which I would not recommend, then dont trim too much. Maybe 1 set of fan leaves maybe... but just remember those big fan leaves hold a lot of nutes and act as a solar panel alomost. I would say leave um.. and maybe if you can get some low watt cfls to put really close to the plant down where its getting no light.

No. Your plants are too young to trim and give you some kind of benefit at this point. Your lower nodes aren't gonna give you as much goodies as your top cola-bud so I think it'd just be a horizontal step to give more light to your lower nodes in exchange for stressing the plant.

... But then again, I don't really believe in trimming unless you're growing SCROG
