Can I Tie My Plant Down With String While I'm Flowering Her?

ok, i dont have much space really, so i wanna get the most out of it. i wanna tie my plant down so it wont get taller during flower. i wanna hopefully train my plant to grow kinda around the pot... possible during flower??
