ebay i bought a 400 wt mh/hps system hps system with a metal halide conversion bulb, all said and done it was $205, the shipping was friggin 40 bucks, but still save about $250 extra by not getting ripped off by a hydro store.

A HPS to MH conversion bulb is used in a HPS ballast but shines the same color light as a MH.
A MH to HPS conversion bulb works in a MH ballast but shines the yellow light of the HPS.
Make sense?

I think thats the site.. somewhere on there it says that MH can be used in a HPS ballast, not the other way around. Never tried it but there is a lot of excellent information on that site.

I got ya. But even though the visible light will be same colors will i still get the advantages of using a MH for vegging and HPS for flowering?
