Can i let my rockwool cube dry out?

Now that my plants roots are in the dwc water can i let the rockwool cube it was in initially dry out?

The plants in the rockwool cube in the net pot with expanded clay pellets. The roots of the plant have grown through the pellets and out of the net pot into the oxygented water. Is it ok to let the expanded clay pellets and the rockwool cube dry out?..

Does it not naturally get wet from the watering cycle....

Not when the water level is below the net pot

You don't have to mess with the rock wool any more. Once you have decent roots in the water they will take care of her. Many people that use dwc use a top feed system as well but once roots are well established and submerged, the top feed is no longer used. Good luck!!
