it's hard to tell without macro shots, but you said there are 5% amber and it looks like theres still the odd white hair. I'd give them another week and keep checking trics if that is the case. 20% amber is when I like to harvest.
 
Personally I like about a 50/50 ratio but everyone is different, its all up to you but I would for sure give it another 7-10days or so, again thou its up to you my man...peace
 
It's all personal preference. You could chop now, but most mags and books recommend having about 10:80:10 (clear:cloudy:amber). Chop now if you like a clearer buzzy high, and later if you like a stonier high. I personally like it clearer so I would chop now. If you wait a bit longer it may pack on a touch more weight too.
 
Wow im actually glad some people thought i should chop now. The thing is those pics arent good so im not sure if most of you can tell but those 2 plants (i believe its alaskan ice or silver bubble unfortunately i mixed around my plants and didnt keep track of what's what) is that all the hairs have receded back into the nugs and they are definetely swollen.

I decided not to harvest yesterday but given what i said, and i do want to focus on more of a headies high, but not at the cost of yield, i am planning on harvesting those two tomorrow.
 
just wait one more week place in darkness for 5 days and feed it nothing but organic molasses and cold water

And yeah i have about 20 plants and its pretty clear whats ripe and what isnt. Def. chopping those 2 down tomorrow.
 
plants look fine, but your nails on the other hand, they need some work. why dont you chop those suckers down, roll up a fatty, and treat yourself to a nice manicure? you wont regret it.

just make sure its virgin chicken blood..... or you could ruin the hole damn crop.......:mrgreen:
 
i have more exp outdoors but i go by those hairs if there mostly brown and starting to go into the bud and those seed bracs are swollen then chop her down. i hate it when i get bud that looks like its over ripe. basically its like having an apple thats been sitting on a tree for to long. do you want an apple from a tree thats pretty much dead and has no leaves or you do you want an apple from a tree where most of the leaves are still green.
