Very bottom 2 you can. Be sure to ship about 1/2" off the main stem leaving a bit of the leafs petiole still attached though.Pretty new to this stuff guys so i was wondering if i can cut these bad/burned looking leafs off?
I bought these clones and the top new leafs are doing good and growing so not sure if its ok to cut anything at this stage.

What problem?have you corrected your problem?
Thank you for the advice. I just wanted to get rid of the bad looking ones. I'll be sure to leave 1/2 off the main stemVery bottom 2 you can. Be sure to ship about 1/2" off the main stem leaving a bit of the leafs petiole still attached though.

I actually just got these clones 3 days ago and thats how i got them. Havent had too much time with them to tell if i have any issues on my side or not.Your plants are struggling and look like shit tbh. I see a lot of possibilities for what you're doing wrong.
Do you use any rockwool cubes or plugs in the middle of the netpots? How high is the water level in the container? People often make the mistake of running to high water level with rockwool or coir/peat pucks in the middle of the netpots, this will cause stagnant water and low DO and a lot of problems that could be easily corrected by not using any rockwool and or pucks with DWC.
You should also insulate the lid of the container. It look like it will just illuminate the light with the white colour. Use foil tape, good luck!

The clones did come in rockwool cubes. whats wrong with rockwool? im new so any advice is highly appreciated. also i keep hearing about running the water lower than the net pot but my question in that case is , wont the plant die if the roots are not long enough to reach the water? or does the splashing of the air bubbles create a humid environment and they dont need to start off being in water?
When i set the clones in my net pots i just made sure that the pebbles where wet where i placed them, not soaking or floating in water, so basically the bottom of the rockwool is touching a tiny bit of water but the rest is above the water line. I did this to make sure it has access to moisture to avoid the newly formed roots from drying out( i can 100% be wrong about this so again please advise me if possible)
Haha, I cut 4 out of 8 and heard my phone go off then saw your message lol. I guess I'll leave 4 cut and 4 uncut and see what happens.I would leave the leaves on it for a few more days. You'll be fine cutting them but let her grow out a little more so she isn't to stressed in the process.
either way you should be fine. I personally try staying away from stressing a plant out a bit while she's recovering.Haha, I cut 4 out of 8 and heard my phone go off then saw your message lol. I guess I'll leave 4 cut and 4 uncut and see what happens.
You're only helping the plant by cutting off the really dead fucked up leaves.I would leave the leaves on it for a few more days. You'll be fine cutting them but let her grow out a little more so she isn't to stressed in the process.
plants also pull nutrients from them too. Like I said, either way it'll be fine. I personally stay away from stressing while recovering from something previous. You're only helping the plant by cutting off the really dead fucked up leaves.
Do it.
The plant doesn't need to waste it's energy trying to keep them alive or send nutrients to them. Once they're gone, the plant will know and it will distribute oxins up towards the higher, newer and more dominant growth.
Let's see that RDWC system in a better more descriptive pic, eh!?Pretty new to this stuff guys so i was wondering if i can cut these bad/burned looking leafs off?

They are actually 5 gallon square buckets that lowes sells for like 6 bucks. I spray painted them white to help the light bounce around the tent. Black will absorb more light, aka more heat and thats bad for the res temp. Here are a few pics of the setup, what do you guys think?Oh, my bad I see now they're 4gal square buckets. They the ones from Lowe's? They come white like that?
I realize now that you don't use waterfalls and that you basically just built a UC setup right? All connected in a loop with the res, reducing to a smaller line via a Tee between the last 2 buckets, being pumped with an inline pump next to the res, up and waterfalling into it. Right?
Really really well done my man. They are actually 5 gallon square buckets that lowes sells for like 6 bucks. I spray painted them white to help the light bounce around the tent. Thank you, I looked at the leafs today and they look kinda curled in at the top. Did some research and it could be lights are too close or too much water. i am using fluence spydr 2p and currently they are sitting 10" from the top of the plants @85% dim level ( each light is using about 600 watts )Really really well done my man.
Whoa whoa whoa. Raise that fucker to 24" AT THE VERY LEAST, my dude. That's far too close.Thank you, I looked at the leafs today and they look kinda curled in at the top. should i dim the lights down to say about 65% or raise them higher? or lower the water level? sorry for all the nub questions, this is my 1st grow so im panicking lol. Or are they curled up because they are new leafs?
