I have a fairly low power led . It's only 100watts .

But about 2 inches from the canopy it's 77k lux

As this is a fairly low power light can I bring it as close a possible to the canopy and not experience any negatives

Wouldn’t want it that close. Need to factor heat as well. If using burple led it takes a special lux meter and I would wanna make sure your measurements are accurate.

Read up on daily light integral. Plants need adequate light, light bleaching is very prevalent on this forum. Running low light distance with high intensity LED's panel won't work.

Numbers given by manufacturers are ridiculous and will give a novice grower all the problems because they follow them like clockwork.

More LUX is not better. The plant need different light requirements throughout it's life cycle.
