Can H&G Roots Excelurator go bad or get otherwise infected?

Hi,
My RE Gold has this funky smell I don't recall it having, kinda musty. There's some sludge in the bottle too. And this is a bottle which I opened a month ago and is kept in a cool, dark place.

I've used this product for quite a while and I just don't remember it being quite like this. I recently had a Botrytis outbreak and that stuff seems to be everywhere.

For anyone else using this stuff, is it sludgy ever? And apart from it having a slightly strong smell, is it ever funky or sour musty smelling?
