i got some auto flower going atm and doing a seed harvest, they are ready to be picked.

someone that has been growing for years told me they are all gonna go hermie because i dont have the lights set to 12/12.
how can this be? the seeds i grew didnt turn out hermie, auto flower doesnt need a light cycle to bud. can someone please clear this up so i can tell this guy hes full of shit (this guy never heard of auto flower).

im sick of ppl that knows only how to smoke dope telling me what to do (so far bad advice) on how to grow dope. so anyone know how plants go hermie i need to know ASAP.

I am not a light expert but I had an outdoor (But made for indoor.) lavender kush plant and she went hermie on me. At first I was mad until I realized I had about one dozen lavender kush seed. LoL.

Bro stick to 18/6 if u go 12/12 with a auto your yeild will drastically drop autoflowers flower regardless of the light cycle you could keep your lights on 24/0 and flower a auto without becoming a hermie. Dont listen to this guy sounds like he doesnt know what he is speaking about

Well just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.

Keep the light at or above 18/6. Unless you got herm seeds you won't get herms.

Information is like fine wine the longer you wait the better it is :)

They can express intersex traits, but it’s got nothing to do with lighting. With autos hermies or intersex expression is either genetics or environmental stress, all growing them under 12/12 is gonna do is decrease your yield. Photoperiod plants can be sensitive to light stress during the dark period while flowering and should be kept as dark as possible/practical and those you have to switch to 12/12 to even start flowering. Not every old head who’s been growing for years is worth listening to. In fact I’d go so far as to say most should be outright ignored.

Has anyone had ovules in their autos?
I have no hermies or males in the garden but everything has ovules. Even in the buds. Very small, everything is at different stages of flowering because they all switched at different times. Buds are still growing and getting stickier
Nothing is acting pollinated
Anyone ever have this happen to them?
