Can Anyone Tell Me If This Is An Actual Plant?

Hey guys, i'm kinda new to growing bud, and i've never really tried it, but my buddy says he planted some, and i saw the plant, and i took some pics.

It was hard to distinguish whether it's a real plant or not, please help!

if you took a minute to look at some plants on this site, you would realize that is not the herb!

i have those in my yard but haven't tried to smoke them ( and don't think i would advise it!)

Well, the question was asked if it is a real plant. the answer is yes, it's a real plant. More than likely it is a weed as well. After that the similarities fall away.
