hey guys so i got this little guy from the co-op for 5 bucks just cause it was about to die. I wanted to rescue her. It looks like they just chopped off a bud and rooted it. Does anyone think they could tell me why it looks so weird? It looks as if it's doesn't have branches or anything, just a little bud. hahaha anyway if anyone could tell me about it i would like to know as much as you could tell me. Think it might be an auto? anyway rep+ to anyone who will take a stab at. Thanks

one of the pics i put up is of both my plants but i already know about the bigger one it's the little one on the left im wondering about. thanks

The plant looks as if it was taken shortly after the mothers sex was determined (flipped to a 12/12 photoperiod). These clones tend to be a little harder to stimulate roots, at least initially and often have odd leaf patterns for several weeks with stunted growth. It is a little difficult to tell from the 2 pics but, it appears to be sativa-dominant with the narrower leaves vs. a indica so look for a longer flowering period with this strain. Since it is a clone, it is highly improbable that this is a auto-flowering strain. Other than it is clearly a female there is little more that can be determined from the pics. The guy at the co-op didn't have any info. at all on it?

ohh yeah duuh i wasnt even thinking about it being a clone, i'm so baked hahahaha. anyway thanks for the info and +rep to you sir

well he said he bought 10 from someone else and it is some type of purple and he said it would be done in six weeks but when i transplanted it the roots look super small and i know the thing is clearly stunted. do you rhink i could just re-veg it?

Yeah i would definatly re-veg it lol you will get close to nothing if you dont. Also i have seen on here when people re-veg a clone that was budding it explodes with tops like crazy so try it out.

Looks like a flowering clone that wont reveg so he gave it to you for $5 . Prob an auto but who knows under 24/0 mh lighting some N, it could reveg and give u a few ounces with luck.Cut the buds out as they will rot, the growing shoot will appear at the bottom if it reveges,

well i just didnt want to let her die so i rescued her. I'll try re-vegging it. anyone know what type it might be? how long does re-veg take?

Re-veg time can be virtually unlimited as long as the container is big enough, even then plants can be removed and re-potted or, root-pruned to stimulate new growth to the root system. I would re-veg for a minimum of 2 months, taking several cuttings along the way. Once the clones are established and growing you have the option of keeping the original as a mother plant or, putting her into flower. It ain't rocket surgery.

102_0683.jpg102_0676.jpg102_0678.jpg102_0672.jpgYes I understand you can veg a plant for years and years. I meant if it takes a while after putting into 18/6 if it takes a while to stop using its energy producing buds and starts making branches and such. anyway I trimmed all the little flower matter off of it and I put it in 18/6 light, also flooded it with pure water and some molasses. I will put a couple new pics up in a few days but right now it looks too shameful hahaha. Also great news I had to prematurely harvest my querkle and i attempted to take two clones from her after chopping her down. This morning there was the start of roots!!!!! querkle lives querkle lives!!!! I am so thrilled Hope I see some roots on the other one too. Well this time i'm planning to let them veg for two months before budding anyway here was my querkle plant the day i had to murder her.

Don't be surprised if you have difficulty cloning with those cuttings. Since the plant was already in full-flower, the hormones that are essential for vegetative and root developement are present in very small quantities so the failure rate is usually very high. There are numerous posts/threads that can help you with the cloning process (no doubt you've read many of them) but, you already have experience with clones that were taken during flower. Personally, I have both a dedicated flower and veg. rooms that greatly simplifies this process. While it involves more expense and space requirements it is well worth it in my opinion. I'm not sure what you meant when you said "This morning I was the start of roots!!!" as this is basically impossible with a cutting of that age. Even under ideal conditions such as with a hydroponic bubble cloner it can take many days for the first signs of roots to emerge.

I would name that plant "the ugly duckling" and call it a new strain. - Since reveggin puts your genetics in somewhat of a funk anyways, I don't think anyone would mind.

I thought it was the start of a root but i guess not. anyway I trashed them. I'm going to start over. I was just pissed i had to harvest her premature and tried to keep a cutting out of spite. anyway i know i should start a mother plant but i dont have the space/means. I'm just going to get a new clone or two or three from the co-op and let them veg for about 1 1/2 to 2 months I want more bud sites i went 12/12 right away because I was so excited to have a plant and it only ended up with 3 bud producing branches as you can see in the pic. On the plus side I thought she looked pretty good for being only 35 days old and I got 7 grams from it. (dried) anyway thanks for the advice and i'll be seeing ya

I like that idea. thanks and hopefully it will turn into a swan. Isn't that how the ugly duckling turned out?
