Calling the Plant Doctors

I could use a positive diagnosis, and if not terminal, some survival advice.

This is Fat Purple #1 of 5 in a small tent. She's been the star of the 1 gal experiment so far. But pulling it out for maintenance, I noticed this on all the buds below the main cola and crowns. I know it seems pretty evident what it likely is, as it's white and powdery :roll:

, but I'd rather hear it from someone that's seen it before, as it's new to me.

@Bad Karma @genuity @calicat and any others. Give it to me straight, por favor.

It's been sitting in the middle of the rest, and the tent is well ventilated, but it's crowded. Going to check on the rest, and preparing for a heartache.

Are you going to trash yours? I just checked the rest of the tent and couldn't find on the others, but defoliated a bit more j/i/c. I'm thinking about trying to save the cola and crowns - she's sweet smelling and sticky - need to get at least a few joints ! :eyesmoke:

It's @ 37 days.

I just been getting it on the big fan leaves, so I have been spraying pm wash & lemon juice/water..

Some say you can wash the buds in a peroxide bath.

Trust me, fuck pm wash, and green cure... Jms stylet oil for the win. I got it first time ever this summer, rim was good but humidity outside was crazy so prob brought it in on shore our something. Almost had a heartatack from all the heart break. SHIT spreads fast!

why lemon juice? is it working? i used baking soda and milk/water and h2o2, its a losing battle! but baking soda and h202 works good,

To help change the pH of the leaves,helps disrupt and stop from spreading.

2x of the worst are bud rot(botrytis) and powdery mildew,

the latter being an irritation,

where as botrytis, is terminal,

yours I think? ....is mildew which neem oil can fix easy!!

to prevent further infections keep your temps up and water use very low, just survival use is good

but the real deal is the tent is too small or you have too many plants in that given area

apply neem oil is a great natural defense and kills bugs too

ps an immediate fix can be gained by wrapping the pot in a trash bag and inverting the top of the plant in a bath of warm water and 10% household bleach, allow to dry in a windy place or fan for 2-3 hours after, and then spray the neem oil

id cut off that infected parts, trash em, and youll have to spray to get a clean harvest. but you can get a nice sample by being vigilant. most remedys will have to be used weekly. so 2/3 weeks to harvest, id def do it.

throwing it out is my preffered method i have tried everything from acv to sulphur burns. ice water hash after h202 bath to be clear. there is a method

i like jorge cervantes h202 bath setup it does clean pm off but working with any pm is bad so i think it is ideal to throw out for health and future garden cleanlyness

I only know of one absolute surefire cure. Cut the buds off and trash them!! Would never even think of trying to salvage, just not worth it!

Yup, that's definetly some form of mildew/mold, most likely powdery. Cut off, and trash, all infected areas and try to save whats left of your harvest.
Also, I would not follow the suggestion above of dipping your plants into any form of bleach solution, but you hopefully figured that out on your own. That advice is akin to Tyler Durden telling you to fertilize your lawn with used motor oil.

My understanding of powder mildew is that is systemic. It's basically like plant herpes- Never going away. JMS Stylet oil is an amazing preventative. Once you go above 70% RH it's in the danger zone. I've always read that the spores are in the air around us but they are waiting for the perfect conditions to reproduce.

Amos Otis if your other plants don't have it I would definitely cull the one that does. The big danger now is it spreading to other plants. I've always read that it is extremely bad for your lungs to smoke it, but I couldn't tell you if that's fact or forum. Seems kinda yuck to smoke though.

Sucks cause she's lookin good.
