Not really looked too hard at Bridgelux stuff,,,but you hit the nail on the head with regards to Cree not posting their data, because a good chunk of this game is about bragging rights and I am pretty sure if Cree had anything to boast about in this department they would be shouting about it from the rooftops...
@guod knows his stuff, but I'd like a source. See my comment above about SupraSPL and the PCT. They both can't be right.

Agreed. I am basing my comment on what I was told by Citizen engineer who explained to me how Citizen and Cree packaged their COBs, granted it was about a year ago, but I do not see anything contrary to what he said back then.

So by all means guod feel free to post a source and get back to me on the question of materials used.

Sorry, lot of replies, but he wasn't advertising anything. I agree with you otherwise. They deleted his first thread because he mentioned his company, so the second thread was 100% DIY focused with no company name mentioned. Just good information and interesting discussion, I mean before Sativied showed up :)

@rxr2 do you even sell your lights outside of Poland? If you do, definitely advertise.

For me the question then becomes if I start a thread about Spectrolight, and he participates, does he have to pay RIU? It's so weird. Anyway, I'll stop posting now.
Trying to bond with people again over my back I see. Such a hypocrite, you cried the hardest, cherrypicking info from google, misreading datasheets blinded by lumen effciency, when I pointed out the warmer higher cri whites are better and supplementing with photo red can fix the white cob spectrum.

And now you suck up like a kid to someone who created a light with a spectrum very similar to what I recommended, and at the same time addressed the directionality and hotspot issue I pointed out a several times over the past years... getting the same delusional idiotic responses. I also read you've "been looking for 2700k cri 90 everywhere" weeks after your ignorant tantrum. And now you whine that his thread gets deleted, probably because a 3500k seller reported him... Fucking ironic flip-flopper, have some dignity.

Be well, my friend. I think you need all the warm thoughts you can get.

And the advertisers will make NOTHING if the keep screwing with the exact people they want to sell with! if they are afraid testing will reveal problems with their products, maybe they should go fix them instead of whining to have posts pulled! What is a forum without members?? a dead site......

go ahead RIU, post a list of your stinking whiners so we can tell them what we really think of their shit. but nah, we don't matter.........

I think extortion would imply a lack of choice. Lets face it rxr2 is going to bring his product to market. He is most probably going to do extremely well with it. How can Rollitup continue to generate revenue from advertisers if they do not respond to what is perceived by them at least to be free advertising. I have seen countless schills post here and get immediately slammed by members for blatant and underhanded marketing tactics. rxr2 is different because he has actually shown us something we like and has credentials to back his findings. Regardless of intentions it is the perception that counts. I do not think rxr2 will give his product away. I think it is unfair to ask Rollitup to do so.

Rxr2 please do not think I do not appreciate your posts. They have been rewarding to read and I hope you continue to contribute. I just think a start up company should have room in their budget for advertising. You have attracted a lot of attention to your designs and as an advertiser you would have the ability to continue to expand this interest and generate sales.

We all get to play on the swings here but this is somebody else's playground and they pay to keep the lights on.

For what it's worth,
Will

Nice find @Will Thayer , I was going to push the button on some higher end Cobs this weekend but I think I will try out some cheaper CLU046s and get some build practice in. I'm just itching to attempt something so badly, it would be wise of me to do my first build with something i can afford to fuck up.

@coreywebster If you can, go with the CLU048. That is the newest version.
Cheers dude, I was thinking of building a cheap fixture for my friend using some of the heat sinks and drivers I have to get some build practice. Think I will go for the Newer version for my own veg tent and then possibly trying out some CLU058s for my flower.
All theory right now. A few days ago I was going to use cxb3590s and a few days before that something different. Its tough when things change so quickly but I have been following a few threads and waiting on results from BOBBY_G and Malocan on the newer Citizens. Cost wise these older ones Will Thayer pulled out the bag have just made me want to attempt a build.
I may even try and mix the older ones with a majority of newer ones in 3500k, using older ones higher in blue or mid range to boost certain peaks... Which way to turn... lol
