is it better to soak the colonized cake before fruiting or is that not needed?

you can re harvest a cake you mean?not "needed" for first flush, recommended after each harvest.
nice i didn't know that so the re-soak them in water and re-roll them in dry vermiculite?flush= wave of mushroom growth
each cake will have multiple flushes
so i guess i would just pore the water into the perlite and lightly mist the shrooms before fanning. thanks alot i couldn't find info on shroomery about that.As longer as the water evaps off. If it doesnt you will get mold
you rock thanks so much how many flushes do you get per cake?Get a strainer
Pour perlite till its full
Run water all over it
Allow it to drain very good
Pour in tub
Repeat that till you have your 5"
Before putting your cakes in your sgfc make sure you dunked them for 24hrs. After that roll them in dry verm. Then place them in you sgfc. Then wait 30 min. Then with a super fine mister bottle spray over the top of your sgfc and let the water fall down. 10 sprays be good enough. Then fan lightly for 30seconds to a minuet. Then keep fanning and misting.
Fan 6 times a day.
Mist 3 times a day
