my dad told me that when he used to grow tomatoes and other plants, he would dump coffie grounds into the soild and it would make the plants grow a lot faster...does anyone know if this would work with weed and if it would damage the plant, or even make it taste like coffie? I am using an aeroponics system and i was thinking about maybe using a black tea bag, would that work. thanks

Uhhhh, NO! your dad was feeding you bullshit. The reason that plants may have grown faster with coffee grounds in the soil was because of the composting effect.
But if you would like to kill your plants, go ahead and put coffee into your aeroponics system.
Jesus, 29 years growing weed and I have never heard such a thing.

yo if you are going to try it, you have to have a control and an experiment group. take two plants planted same time and right next to each other. same light and the rest. use one with coffee and one without. and dude i wana see this shit. my money is that his plant will die in 2 days!!!!!!

my grand ma made me put the coffe grounds in the flower garden-

i've often wondered what exactly this does? the flower garden was filled with 1 inch stone, a couple inches deep

Yeah like most things there is a little truth to what is being said here. Coffee grounds are very acidic and some plants dig them. This is only going to help out if your soil is basic. I've done this on roses that where two years old and well established and it was just on the top of the soil. To tell the truth I was trying to figure a way to use the old grounds that get throw out everyday. But I came to a conclusion that most of the roses liked the coffee that was undrank more than grounds and it only boosted them up for a short time. In my opinion the best way to increase plant growth is through good technique and practices. There is no majic bullet that makes super weed out of ditch select. Everything plays an importatant role in producing good smoke. Thats just my humble opinion. Good luck

i put my coffee ground in my compost...and get great results when i brew the compost into a tea...BUT i give the grounds and othe composted foods and waste 18 to 24 months to break down..i would not recomend adding directly to your soil in tea or solid form.
