is a cabinet like this too narrow to grow? 72" H x 36" W x 18" D. i was thinking .of running a 600w cool tube. or is that overkill? 400w cool tube? thanks.

600 would be fine. I use a 400 in a smaller space than that. You just need to make sure you ventilate it enough. Using a carbon scrubber and 350+cfm fan would do the trick.

thanks. it will be ventilated. and i plan to run cooling fans on the light. it won't be super stealth as i will have the doors open some of the time. thanks again.

Kind of depends. I have heard you can use the cheap 6" duct fan to cool it. Personally I would put out for a 250 or so cfm centrifugal inline fan for the cool tube. Then maybe another fan at 300+ cfm with a carbon filter for venting the room. I would have the room exhaust fan hooked up to a room temperature controller so it only kicked on when it got too warm.
Here are some fans:

Here are some carbon scrubbers:

Couple of these super duper muffin fans might cool a light though:

I use this Thermostat:

Its pretty easy to wire up.

Here are some other thermostat or enviro controlers:

Hope this helps.:bigjoint::eyesmoke::bigjoint:
