Cab Idea Help!

Would a 3'x5'x24" work for short autos?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Rollitup mobile app
you could make do with that probably, but your really going to have to make sure to get some short autos because at least 6 inches of that room is going to be taken up with lights so that leave you like a little over a foot if you leave 2-3 inches of room from the lights to the plants, and you would have to use cfls because you really cant keep any hid that close to the plant.

Dride....home depot has a decent sized grow cab....I'll post somepics later when I am on my laptop.....I am using my tablet and dragging photos wontwork with this damn thing.

Lights, fans/filters, and pots all take vertical height up. Look into screen of green (scrog) growing. If you only want to grow a couple plants at a time in a small cab, train them low. Personally I'd stay away from auto, take a normal photo strain. Veg it until you get half the screen covered or a little more, then switch it to flower

Dride, here ya go....I am looking at pulling the trigger on this sometime this week I think....Personally I am going to try and move that center divider over a little so I would have one side for veggin' and a lager side for flowering. Electric stuff and the fan will be on top....

- I'll be using cfl's for both vegging and flowering

The old days when HD carried the Mills Pride line of prefab wardrobe cabinents wuth a full 24" depth.

I had the C13 which was 24" deep x 30" wide x 6' tall.

They also had the C24 which was 2' deep x 4' long by 6' high with a divider shelf. You could easily modify it so that you had a 3' x 2' x 6' area for flowering on one side, and have a 1' x 2' x 6' area for moms and clones and young vegging clones. All you had to do was add a few shelves, make the bottom section for moms 1' x 2' x 2' to 3' tall then a shelf for your rooting clones 1' x 2' x 1' another shelf for vegging rooted clones 1' x 2' x 2' tall.

Now a days,I'd say you're better off buying a tent,or building your own cab.I like tents for ease and quickness of setting up and tearing down.

Cabs are really no more stealth than a tent other than the visual aspect.Cabs are no quieter running (unless you insulate the cab and that only knocks a few decibels off the loudness of fans, but you have to remember about the ducting exiting to the attic/window for exhaust...you're going to hear it.Anyone in that room will hear it.

And outside the room. If ducting out the window anyone near that side of the house will hear it. I have my fan throttled back, otherwise sounds like a leaf blower

well, I finally got tired of looking around and am breaking down and getting a tent (wifes giving me the closet),
