buying small to medium amounts of coco coir...

What do most people do? Im kind of over paying out the ass for a pallet of bags.... Is everyone else just buying pallets at a time... wish i could find something by the yard but im worried of the quality from my local nursery....

What do you mean by small to medium? You can buy bricks and blocks online everywhere, as well as at most grow shops. Do you consider a yard to be a small to medium quantity?

Yes, yard is on the small size... I hate saying bulk because when i think of bulk i think of 75 yards plus..... Outdoor coco whore over here....

what do you purchase? Any if you dont mind what does your store charge you per bag and what brand....

I buy the big blocks,10 bucks 25 gals of coco I have used all the name brands all the same except the price,soak in 15 gals of water 2ml of cal-mag good to go.the blocks I like are called grow itget u a pic if u need

i'm about to buy coco coir and also mix it with perlite and if anyone knows anything else thats good to mix coco coir with please tell.
recently just bought a 1.2x1.2m grow tent and scrog net, is coir alright to use organic and chemical nutrients simultaneously.

I mean I agree with the above suggestion of buying coco in bricks off amazon.

Didn't seem realistic to buy 5+ yards worth of Coco in bricks from amazon.... went a different route this year

Royal gold coco totes?
Royal gold is good. Their straight up coco is hella clean/good. I'm currently buying pallets of their tupur for most of my indoor grows. I'm pretty sure I can get totes of it, but bags are easier to pull out of the trailer.

the 5 k blocks break up to 25 gals,i pay 9 bucks for them

Well, #1 reason is that it's a coco blend that's totally ready to rock right out the bag. No need to break clumps of coco apart. Ready to go
and I've always preferred a coco/perlite blend over straight coco, ever since coco came out. I get it for 10 bucks a bag(norcal), it's hella clean stuff also. It's a really good coco blend
You might just start getting 2 lbs per light as the name suggests if you aren't already

Mostly just maxigrow/bloom and some calmag. I'm also rockin H&G cocos a+b at one of my spots. As soon as I run out, i'll be back on the maxi at that pad too though

Haha that's funny I've been using Maxibloom, I've gotten by just by using bloom thought out the whole grow. I wanted to try house and garden.

But I'm starting to see nutes don't make or break your bud. It's everything else in between that makes top shelf.

You can use organic and chemical nutes together. But if you are using chemicals might as well just use only them, the organics probably arent gunna add much to the equation. You can grow perfect herb with just coco and a good full nutrient system like GH flora or maxi series. Or you can go with pure organics and get nice beneficial bacteria/microorganism growth going and get good results, but the chemicals generally will devastate your living organisms. This is just my experience, but i recommend you go one way or the other and chemicals are MUCH cheaper.
