Hello
I am currently taking a descision.
I want to buy 1000w and maximise its use in my grow tent.
I read articles and now this is what I figured.
Im trying to make my mind on which one to buy since there is many kits on market.
There is digital ballast and normal ballast.
There is reflectors with cooltubes and some whitought.
I've come to conclusion that I should buy one whit digital ballast since apparently the normal ballast do some sound.
I should get one whit cooltube to have less heat and be able to put my plants closer.
(Is it actualy worth it whit the cooltube??)
Can u please give me advise on prices/quality of the best reflector whit glass and ballast kit.
I also live in canada so the website has to ship here.

Em that didn't realy help me..
Im lookin for the prices/quality
and if the glass is blocks the uv rays on the cooltubes~~
etc.. .

trust me on this one. screw the cooltube and get an air cooled hood like a sunsystems. you can find them on sunlightsupply.com. They have huge ones and normal ones. id suggest the yieldmaster its only like 115. Also, i use normal magnetic ballasts ( crop masters from sunlightsupply.com) and they make a slight buzz. not loud at all. If youre 10 feet away you wont even be able to hear it. also some of those electronic ballasts are expensive. you can get a sick 1000w ballast for like 170 on the same website i mentioned above. Id stay away from no named ebay stuff because ive purchased it before and it sucked balls. I had a 250w light and i started in a small closet and i had the cheap tin foil non air cooled reflector and temps got to like 105 easy. i put my 400w air cooled light in the same closet with a fan connected to the flanges and it stayed at 75.

I love growlight express, they always come through for me.
Glassed in hood a eco 440 cfm fan and yer good to go on the 1000.

What kind of fan did u screw on?

you can find a ballast for around 150, air cooled hood for 100 and a bulb is anywhere from 50 to 160 for a good hortilux. Trust me, i have purchased the cheap stuff and regret it because i eventually bought the better stuff. you dont want to go cheap on your lights and hood. You can get away with a non air cooled hood but its just so much easier to have a cooled one. My 1000 watter is connected to an 8 inch fan at 760cfm (got the fan on ebay for 150 its kind of a cheap brand but it works great) and the glass on my light reflector stays cool enough to touch it.
