Buy Cheap Seeds?

Just out of curiosity, but given how many seeds one plant can produce...shouldn't they all be a bit cheaper then what they generally sell for?

this is why i produce seeds from every strain i buy and store them, fuck paying 150$ for 10 beans, if i do i turn them into 1500 seeds

How do you do that - am thinking about trying it - do you have to have a third growing room to keep pollen out of veg and flower room?
